My dining experience was a 6 on a scale from 1 to 10. The place was empty except for a couple and their child so we did not have a long wait. The staff was really pushy in the sense of them hurrying us to sit and order.
The menu: they have nice size $5 drinks. I recommend the Paige's Powerful Punch. It had a nice amount of vodka in it for $5 and a nice flavor to it. The drink is compromised of peach schnapps, vodka, pineapple, grenadine and sweet and sour. For a reasonable $12.95, I ordered the Hibachi Chicken. This isn't their regular price, but it is one of their specials. This is an awesome price for soup, salad, rice, noodles, vegetables, 2 shrimp and chicken.
My verdict: the rice, chicken and shrimp were good. Everything else....well not as much. They only had one salad dressing, ginger, and I did not care for the taste. The soup was really watered down topped with green onions. Yuck. I felt they gave me a bowl of warm, brown water. The vegetables were not bad, but I never eat vegetables at hibachi restaurants because I am not a fan of zucchini and onions. The noodles were seasoned well, but gummy. Now at Hamada, another Japanese Hibachi grill, the noodles are my favorite part of the meal, so I was looking forward to tasting these noodles and was not happy.
I would go back to Afusion for the shrimp, drinks and rice. Mainly because its location is about 2 minutes from my house. I don't have to sit through the hibachi grill again though.
One last comment, the waitress got on my nerve. She basically threw the bowls of soup at us, tried to force me to order another drink and then grabbed my plate to put in takeout containers while I was still eating!!! Then I guess she wasn't satisfied with the tip I left her because she lingered around looking at me for about 5 minutes.
