If you try this out be sure to let me know how this works for you. Or if you have another way of using the Banana Powder let me know!
This will be just a quick post. I have found a new dynamic duo for myself! So I use Ben Nye's Banana Powder for my highlight and it was hard finding the right applicator for it. I tried the sponges most people use, different types of brushes and all sorts of applicators. For awhile, I was using ELF's Mineral Powder Brush. The brush did a good job, but it did not pack on the powder like I wanted it to. One day I was going through my brushes (it was brush cleaning day) and I came across a brush that I had never used. It is the F65 Large Concealer Brush. I decided to try it when putting my Banana Powder on. Low and behold, they are a match made in heaven! It packs the right amount of powder on, and then I use the ELF Mineral Powder Brush to dust it away after my highlight has set. So if you are looking for a brush for your Banana Powder or to set your highlight try a large concealer brush.
If you try this out be sure to let me know how this works for you. Or if you have another way of using the Banana Powder let me know!

I can't believe the end of the month is here! I have been thinking long and hard about what products are my favorite for the month. This month has been hectic because I got married April 20th so everything else has been a blur. Also with it being my wedding month, I didn't try many products because I didn't want to have a bad reaction to anything and be ugly on my wedding. These products have stuck with me this month. Hopefully, I will find some new stuff to try out for May. I haven't found many new products that I was interested in using (which is abnormal). Have you guys tried anything new or have any recommendations? Lately, I have been LOVING highlights and bronzers. This little kit in everything to me. A MUST try! Too Faced- The Bronzed and The Beautiful: French Riviera $38 So this is another highlight type product. When I use it, I mix it with my foundation to give myself that extra glow. I'm sure it can be worn alone to add a touch of glistening to the face too! I'm sure this will become one of my go to face products for the summer. Victoria's Secret Brightening Gel- $12 I went through a spell where my lips were SUPER dry. I found myself scrubbing the life out of them before I would apply lipsticks (matte is my favorite). I can across this product and it was heaven sent. I have mines in the Bubblegum flavor (yes it is edible & it tastes great). They also have popcorn, a chocolate and a mint flavor. I've had it since March and use it often & barely out a dent in it! Lush Cosmetics Lip Scrub- Bubblegum $10 This baby right here!!! This is my lovely blush palette. The colors are so pigmented and beautiful! I use this like every day seriously. I want another blush palette, but the ones I've been seeing are to similar to this one. I got mines off of......wait for it.....EBAY! Y'all know I love Ebay right? But you can also get similar ones for BH Cosmetics, Coastal Scents or make your own with Inglot and La Femme Blushes. Blush Palette- Ebay $12.99 free shipping Palettes have recently became my best friend. There are sooooo many options and looks you can do off of 1 palette! I used this baby on my wedding day. Isn't she a beauty?! I got her off of Ebay too. But BH Cosmetics and Coastal Scents carry this also. They are all the same palettes. They just smack their label on it Ebay 120 Neutral Palette- $14.99 free shipping I think this is my #1 favorite lipstick of all time. I also wore this on my wedding day. I dropped it & broke it =( I will be heading to a MAC counter this weekend to buy another one. This is the perfect nudish/pinkish lipstick. It can be worn everyday with ANY look. This is also Kim Kardashian's favorite/signature lipstick. MAC Angel- $15 This is thee BEST foundation period. I don't have to say much about this brush because it speaks for itself. You can purchase Sigma brushes from: sigmabeauty.com Receive 10% off this month with code: AAM2013 Sigma F80 Flat Kabuki Brush- $18 I love the Spring and Summer. The weather is perfect, the colors are soft, bright and beautiful AND the prettiest makeup collections are released. So this week everyone was going crazy for MAC's "Fashion Sets" which were released this week. I think the excited steamed from the re- released of the famous Heroine lipstick. Now don't get me wrong, colors in the "Fashion Sets Collection" were pretty, but I have my eyes set on something PRETTIER! MAC's "Baking Beauties Collection". By now I'm sure you know I am a sucker for pink lipsticks and just girly things period. First look at this collection and it had Angel written all over it! This is a limited edition collection. This means when the products are sold out THAT'S IT! Baking Beauties Collection will be available online April 11, 2013 and in store April 18, 2013. The collection will be available internationally in May 2013. MAC loves everything about a cupcake. Face powder arrives in exclusively designed cupcake patterns, and Lustre Drops create a luminous finish. Pro Longwear Paint Pots add a touch of dazzle. Spring has always been one of my favorite season because of all the fresh flowers, pastel colors, and weather (not too hot, not too cold). Even though I am the person that wears brights and pastels all year long, there is nothing like NEW seasonal colors. I have done some reading, digging, and prodding to bring you guys the trends for the Spring. Enjoy! NailsI love nail polish. Painted nails are like an accessory to me and I can make certain colors go with EVERY color. So for the Spring, the nail trend will be: BOLD BRIGHTS. Fun right? I love bright colors from clothes, shoes, lipstick, jewelry to nails. Bright is always "in" in my book. Try brilliant colors like: coral, fuchsia, pink, oxblood (yes it is following us into another season), purples, black and white. Whichever color or style you decide, just make sure it's BOLD and BRIGHT. Bright LipsI think this trend will be my personal favorite. I wear a bright lip on a regular basis. So this Spring, be prepared to rock your favorite BRIGHT lip. From pinks, oranges, purples and reds your possibilities will be endless. I personally LOVE a pink lip, preferably a light/bright pink lip, but if it is pink I will wear it no matter the shade. I also like red when I am feeling sexy lol. Make sure, when you are rocking your bright lip, to do minimal eye and face makeup. This will be sure to make your bright lips POP! Fresh CheeksI don't know about you guys, but my Summer makeup staple is bronzer. I love that tanned and glowy look. One of Spring 2013's trend calls for fresh cheeks. Try a rose powder blush, light diffusing highlighter and a bronzer. Urban Decay has a palette that has all 3 in 1! It is the "Naked Flush Palette" $30. I have been eyeing this for a while and I may have a reason to buy it now lol. If you don't want to spend $30, Physician's Formula has GREAT bronzers, blushes and highlighters. They also have the "Shimmer Strips" where it covers everything I named. Just grabbed a kabuki brush, dab it in the palette and brush lightly on your face. I LOVE Physician's Formula products. You can buy their products from Target and Walmart. I'm sure other stores carry them, but I only know of these 2. Smoky EyesOh how I love a good ol' smoky eye. I just mastered (well maybe not mastered, but you get my point) the smoky eye and I try to only wear it on special occasions. LOL (ok that one really made me laugh). If I could I would wear a smoky eye EVERYDAY. Just smoked out for no reason. LOOOOL!! Try a smoky eye using silver, bronze or gold and black liner. Metal color eyes are a YES! An easy way to do a smoky eye is by using, Maybelline's Color Tattoo. Thank me later. These little pots are sent STRAIGHT from heaven. With a smoky eye, stay away from a bold lip. Try nudes and light pinks and red is always an addition to this sensual look. I typically will do a red lip with a plain winged liner, but that is me. Pair a smoky eye with a sleek ponytail. Due to be released in March 2013, Sephora will debut it's Princess Jasmine makeup collection! This collection has me so excited! I am a die hard Disney Princess fan (yes even at my adult age). Around Christmas time, Sephora released the Cinderella collection which was very soft and pretty. I wasn't too interested in the palettes, but I wanted the compact mirror that was apart of the collection. I went to a Sephora one day to look at the collection and I swear by the next day it was sold out! So I told myself I wasn't going to let this collection pass me up. By the way, these collections are limited edition, so once it's sold out THAT'S IT. I received an email from Sephora today informing me (because I am a Beauty VIP) that The Jasmine Collection was available for purchase online!!! I immediately texted Kenny (like he cares lol) to tell him! Then once I signed in to my Sephora app (yes it's that serious) on my Iphone 5 and seen the collection I was BEYOND excited!!
